The Professionals at Morris-Depew Associates have provided civil engineering, land planning and expert witness services in Florida since 1989. More recently, we have provided landscape architecture, surveying and mapping services to fully satisfy the needs of our clients. We have successfully provided these services to a wide variety of government agencies, property owners, real estate developers, architects, and contractors.
Morris-Depew Associates has grown to be one of the most well respected firms in Southwest Florida. To better provide statewide service in the areas of growth management and hazard mitigation, a Tallahassee office was opened in July of 2005. In 2006, we opened an office in Gainesville to accommodate expanding work in North Central Florida.
Principal Mike Morris, MS, PE, PTOE, PTP, FITE has been one of Southwest Florida’s most respected and influential engineering consultants for more than 40 years. His wide array of experience has been applied in public works projects, water management, land development and engineering throughout the state of Florida.
President and Principal David W. Depew, PhD, AICP, LEEP® AP, brings with him more than 30 years of experience as a county development director, planning consultant and litigation expert, to qualify the firm further as specialists in niche development disciplines.
Principals Ryan Shute, PE, and Bill Morris,PE,LEED® AP, bring an array of successful management experience in residential, commercial, industrial and institutional as well as public works projects, while Mark Hatfield, PSM, specializes in surveying and mapping.
In addition, the firm staffs some of the most skilled professionals in their fields including: James McCord, RLA,ASLA, CLARB, LEED® AP, CID, CIC, CLIA, EPA Watersense Partner lends his expertise in landscape architecture and irrigation design. Charlie Gauthier, AICP, brings his experience in growth management and environmental protection. Tina Mayfield Ekblad, MPA, AICP, LEED® adds her expertise in comprehensive planning, strategic planning, economic development and grant writing.
